While I enjoyed Dane's Syn and it had a lot of elements going on. . . . This is more of a overarching story with the big picture and less focus on Syn and Dane. Even though this is their story, too. The series expanded so much, really taking on a life of it's own.

First off this series is about Leopard Shifters. Syn and Dane are Leopard Shifters, Syn is a dominate being the brother of Alpha Talyn. Dane is of a submissive class called the Prim.

There is more action, more conclusion on what is going on with Talyn's Coalition and conclusion on the Council problem until one of the Council Enforcers wants revenge. So the fallout happens and more is added on. Stick in a mission for Dane and Syn and things get hopping.
I'll say that Syn and Dane may be bonded now but their story isn't finished. Dane had a complete character change from how he acted all his life. There's going to be adjustment to that yet Syn loves Dane, regardless.

SPOILERS and THOUGHTS:

Dane drank vampire blood and there's no idea what this will do to him or the baby he's carrying. The doctor was to examine Dane but that never happened. So we're left guessing about Dane, the changes, if they're going to get worse in time, or if the baby is affected. Then there's the threat of the vampire returing to taunt Dane and get Dane to drink more vampire blood. What a situation to have with a budding relationship!

No, I didn't feel Dane's story is finished.

So there's issues with the wolves on the west coast. Issues with Salvador, Talyn's father. Salvador's agenda. The Council's agenda or at least two of the councilmen and their plans for Stillwater, the area where Talyn's Coalition lives. Then there is the threat from the Council Enforcers and wanting answers to the missing Hans. There's the alliance with the vampires that happened without Syn saying a word about the message he was supposed to present. And who knows just what that tow truck driver was doing. Added to all that is a missing wolf and vampire. How do they tie into this mess other than the vampire betrayed his brother and coven leader? Oh yes and the wolf was the brother of the wolf alpha. Two prominent guys that are missing. Oh let's see. . . . Yeah. There's more.

What about what Talyn will do about his father trying to take over his territory, come back out of retirement to reclaim his coalition? What about the Prim and their group, leader, and issues? That was a big deal to Dane, a big part of his life and as this is Dane's story why wasn't that resolved? Instead it's left up in the air and Dane left wondering how he'll be treated as he lives around them, still has to put up with them, even if he isn't housed with them. As Dane is more aggressive then he used to be of course this is important.

Like I said this story was enjoyable but there are so many inconclusive parts. If it's a lead in for more answers I'm all for it. I just hesitate because Lynn Hagen doesn't always conclude plots - I know cause I've read so many of hers and offered more than my share of reviews. So I'm just on the fence here to see what will happen and of course if Dane and Syn's story will be concluded. This book didn't do it. - Dan's Wife

This was another good book in this series and can't wait for more I hope it's soon ...I will be looking forward to it.
